a beautiful place nearby | Fünfzehnwochen | Düsseldorf Golzheim
curated by Nicole Oversohl-Heusinger
15th June - 6th September 2026
The exhibition explores the question of whether, in an age of climate change, art can harness its potential as a medium of communication and thus serve as a space for reflection. In this context, particular emphasis is placed on the application of sustainability strategies to artistic processes, materials, and forms of expression. A common thread uniting all four artists — Marie Althöfer, Daniela Baumann, Ulrike Möschel, and Beatrice Richter — is that they do not merely depict natural processes but actively integrate them into their working methods. Their works are created in direct dialogue with the exhibition venue and, in some instances, will undergo continuous transformation throughout the entire duration of the exhibition.
We would be delighted to welcome you at the exhibition opening, as well as at the various events comprising our accompanying program.
